Welcome to the exhibition of Indian artist Amitabh Ashesh. He is a particularly interesting artist due to his nature as a researcher of novel and unique forms. His works are rooted in abstraction and geometry. His art develops through philosophical thoughts. It is important to note that his research is unique in its themes and in everything his spiritual and social journey represents in a new context, which he defines as Yufism. It is this research that makes all his work unique. Sensual and fascinating works that intrigue. I have been captivated by his universe, which intertwines with the sphere of the human and spiritual condition, and which he narrates through his creations.

Could she
a ‘New Whiff’ Indian be…
Championing Yufism?!
Or
These chiques
Expressing a poetic streak?!
Apace grows too in the studio
A line with a realistic spine.

Folks,
With the heart riding canvas paths
And a history-fed, steroidal head
Prone to jumping over the fence,
I gratefully accept fate’s ordinance…
To compositional principles rethink,
To make sky, sea and natural elements
With human dimensions blend
Or explode in a sculpted, patterned sense.
‘Intriguing no end’ says professor emeritus, now friend.
